Bristol Bay Government Services Group (BBGSG) is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to assist with purchase materials and other supplies requested by the project management team. The purchasing process includes placing the order with suppliers, tracking the order, recording the purchase order in the accounting software system, receiving the merchandise and return processing.
Essential Job Functions:
Enter select vendor purchase orders into CostPoint.
Obtain all necessary POD’S and packing slips of received/delivered goods and match up to the appropriate PO.
Enter received goods into system for WILL CALL pick-ups, Direct Ships, and post the “Receipt of Goods” Journal.
Provide and record PO’#’s to assigned vendor and job#, and log into PO Log spreadsheet.
Request and process RMA#’s from vendors, and manufacturers. Generate RMA# in the system and log all information into EXCEL spreadsheet. Track returns from inception, to receipt of vendor credit memo, and update spreadsheet accordingly.
Obtain $ quotes from vendors
Work closely with A/P in resolving invoice issues that involve, but are not limited to, price discrepancies, quantity issues, and any other “obstacles” that would prevent the processing and posting of an invoice.
Back-up warehouse coverage for incoming deliveries
Candidate Requirements:
Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
Clear written and verbal communications.
Detailed oriented
Good with basic math
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
Good time management skills
Work well in a team environment
Complete knowledge of all related skill area machines and equipment
