Bruker AXS is seeking a Benchtop Repair Technician. The Benchtop Repair Technician is responsible for providing efficient and coordinated repairs of handheld instruments, bench-top systems and materials that are sent to the depot for repair. Must provide written documentation, procedures, and telephone support as required. The ideal candidate is a motivated self starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute projects to improve level of support and to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform depot repairs of customer instruments
- Provide technical phone support to customers and field service personnel across Americas for Bruker BNA products.
- Develop repair procedures and assist in the evaluation of repairs that should be performed at the Madison depot.
- Maintain repair documentation of customer material
- Comply with internal business process and document cases as needed
- Provide input and create service bulletins and other technical documentation.
- Configure computers and peripherals as required
- Travel to customer site to provide service and/or planned maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of service training classes
- Assist in the development and updating of technical maintenance manuals
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical/Customer Support Manager
- Maintain spare parts inventory, applications lab equipment, and participate in service training schools.
- Travel as necessary to support field operations.
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in repair and calibration of sophisticated electronic equipment, as well as 1 years in analytical instrument repair and calibration.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- High level technical hardware and software skills related to X-ray instrumentation.
- Ability to use standard electronic test and measuring instruments
