What are you going to do
- Project engineering support for a portfolio of capital and improvement projects within the refining and chemicals space, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all project phases from early design through execution and closeout.
- Oversee multiple small to mid-sized brownfield projects (typically $15-20M focused on regulatory compliance, capital return, production improvement, and capacity maintenance.
- Manage project scope involving piping systems, pumps, heat exchangers, heavy electrical, and instrumentation work.
- Act as a mentor to a young contract team, fostering skill development and engagement.
- Contribute to building and balancing the department by supporting less experienced team members.
- Actively engage with field crews to ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture during project execution.
- Collaborate with on-site and remote project teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across the 25 engineers in the department.
- Leverage knowledge of operator environments and existing facilities to optimize project delivery.
