What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allocation Analyst position at Brunel?
Brunel is looking to hire an Allocation Analyst to work with one of our Oil and Gas client in Midland, TX on a long term contract!!
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, reconcile, and report daily and monthly production volumes
- Ensure timely and accurate accruals and monthly close volumes for revenue accounting
- Set up new wells and measurement equipment in internal production systems
- Collaborate with field personnel to support data entry and system use
- Investigate and resolve volume discrepancies using internal tools and software
- Prepare and submit state and federal regulatory production reports
- Enter and reconcile crude oil and water tickets with third-party statements
- Process Prior Period Adjustments (PPAs) as needed
- Understand field production equipment and flow processes
- Generate and distribute monthly production reports to partners and stakeholders
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and user testing
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with production allocation systems (e.g., Avocet) and reporting tools (e.g., Spotfire) preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in oil and gas production operations is a plus
