We are on the hunt for an Allocation Analyst I, based in Midland, Texas, United States. This role is within the industry, providing an exciting opportunity to take on a dynamic role with a focus on data analysis, production, and revenue accounting. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Accurately analyze, correct, and report on daily and monthly volume allocations
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timely accruals and close volumes to the revenue accounting team
- Construct new wells and production measurement equipment in Avocet
- Foster and maintain relationships with field operators, foreman, and superintendents while leveraging Avocet/Field Operator data entry
- Collaborate with the team in reconciling volume variances between allocated volumes, estimated daily volumes, and purchaser statements using Avocet and Spotfire
- Prepare and file state and federal production reports
- Enter and reconcile crude oil and water tickets to third-party statements
- Process PPAs as necessary
- Gain an understanding of field equipment and process flows
- Prepare reports for partners on a monthly basis
- Participate in system upgrades and testing activities.
- Proficiency in Data Entry tasks
- Experience in Production environments
- Knowledge of Revenue Accounting principles
- Expertise in Variance Analysis techniques
- Familiarity with Monthly Reporting procedures
- Ability to Maintain Relationships with various stakeholders
- Understanding of Accruals in financial contexts
- Capability to create and interpret Process Flow Charts
- Experience with System Upgrades and implementation
- Ability to liaise with Superintendents for operational management
- Knowledge of Crude Oil industry specifics
- Proficiency in AB Testing techniques
- Familiarity with Spotfire data visualization software
- Experience in using Measure Equipment in relevant contexts
- Understanding of general Accounting Functions
