General Function
Under the general supervision of the Director for Multicultural Workforce Development & Outreach, the applicant must demonstrate mastery in the areas of Spanish Communication. Ability to plan a course, develop an outline and ensure course content and objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
- Ensures that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner
- Ensures that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
- Prepares and updates materials/outlines for adult learning styles
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines
- Introductory Conversational Spanish to enable students to begin speaking and writing basic Spanish phrases
- Emphasis will be made on the use of Spanish idioms, words and phrases.
- Knowledge of the use of phonetics, and grammar.
- Assess students in order to create a learning program for each student.
- Evaluate or test students, either formally or informally to determine student progress.
- Help students with improving their Spanish Communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years teaching experience preferred but not required
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish
- Spanish language communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Fluent Spanish Communication. Teaching experience preferred.
