General Function
Under the general supervision of the Director for Multicultural Workforce Development & Outreach, the applicant must demonstrate mastery in the areas of English Communication. Be able to communicate with Spanish speaking students in Spanish
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
- Ensures that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner
- Ensures that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
- Prepares and updates materials/outlines for adult learning styles
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines
- English reading, writing, and communication
- Knowledge of the use of phonetics, and grammar.
- Assess students in order to create a learning program for each student.
- Evaluate or test students, either formally or informally to determine if students are progressing.
- Help students with improving their English Communication skills.
- Be able to speak basic Spanish for explanation purposes
- Be able to teach in Supply on Saturdays and during the week in Leland.
Minimum Qualifications
- Have a bachelor’s degree
Preferred Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- 2 Years teaching experience preferred but not required.
