Brunswick County Public Utility is currently accepting applications for a Crew Supervisor to join our Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) team. Brunswick County Public Utility provides water services to roughly 58,000 water retail customers across a large service area. Our Public Utility team is committed to the community and takes a lot of pride in providing a high level of service to our customers every day. The Crew Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the work of mechanics and technicians involved in meter installation, work orders, preventative maintenance, repair, and operations of the utility systems. Work includes: performing specialized skilled work as related to the Brunswick County utility system and related appurtenances.overseeing, monitoring, and inspecting work of assigned crew. assigning and coordinating work orders for meter installation, etc.coordinating with Purchasing to acquire parts for operation and maintenance of the utility system.assisting with and resolving complaints from utility customers and the public.The Crew Supervisor is also responsible for assisting with safety procedures, standard operating procedures, coordinating training required for maintenance personnel, assisting in the preparation of a variety of reports, and maintaining records related to the utility system. Excellent leadership skills, highly self-motivated, and the ability to work independently while exercising good judgement are required. This position reports directly to the department manager.
