What are the responsibilities and job description for the 6th Grade Social Studies Long Term Substitute Teacher position at Brunswick Junior High School?
The Brunswick School Department seeks an experienced and enthusiastic middle-level teacher to serve as a long-term substitute for sixth-grade social studies. The position will run from April 16 to Mid/Late May. The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Experience as a 6-8 social studies teacher preferred
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practice
- Experience working on grade-level and interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessment
- Interested in innovative approaches
- Skilled at working with all students
- Capacity to utilize technology to enhance practice
- Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom.
- State of Maine certification and CHRC approval are required.
