We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and supplier relationships. Duties
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition through to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
- Oversee supplier management, including performance evaluations and relationship building.
- Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify material needs and ensure alignment with production schedules.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and assess pricing strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of purchasing processes.
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to fabricate contracts that meet organizational needs.
- Experience in supplier management, including performance evaluation and relationship development.
- Familiarity with MRP systems for effective inventory management.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and pricing strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
