Are you passionate about building quality into cutting-edge software? We’re looking for a talented Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer to elevate our testing processes and deliver exceptional products. In this role, you’ll own the automation lifecycle, collaborate with a high-performing Scrum team, and drive innovation in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop robust test automation scripts based on business requirements, acceptance criteria, and functional specs—turning ideas into reliable, repeatable tests.
- Execute a mix of manual and automated tests (functional, integration, regression, and performance) to ensure our software stands up to real-world demands.
- Build and maintain libraries of automated and manual test scripts, keeping our testing foundation strong and adaptable.
- Work within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), aligning with Agile practices while upholding Information Security and Data Governance standards.
- Analyze automation test results, log defects in our issue tracking system, and partner with developers and team members to resolve issues fast.
- Lead by example—spot opportunities to refine our QA processes, explore innovative tools and techniques (think AI-powered testing), and push the boundaries of automation.
- Stick to testing timelines to keep product delivery smooth and on track.
- Dive into Agile workflows—join daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to keep the team aligned and moving forward.
What You Bring:
- Technical Expertise: minimum 8 years of hands-on software testing experience, ideally in a process-driven tech setting. Bonus points if you’ve worked in financial services!
- Coding Skills: Proven ability to write clean, effective code in languages like Java, C#, SQL, and scripting tools like PowerShell or Bash.
- Automation Know-How: Experience building and running automation tests using tools like Selenium for web, desktop/native apps, APIs, or even Power BI Reports.
- Test Planning: A knack for translating business needs into detailed, actionable test plans and scripts for multi-tier applications.
- Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills to interpret results, identify defects, and collaborate on solutions.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience that showcases your skills.
- Certifications: Nice-to-have credentials like Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or similar.
