The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for Assistant Principal candidates at the Elementary School level for the 2025-26 school year.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the school principal, the assistant principal will support in leading a school that is committed to the ongoing development and well-being of its students, teachers and staff. The assistant principal will provide support in the strategic and instructional leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the school.
The assistant principal must be thoroughly familiar with the current teacher and administrator evaluation system and share the belief that all young people deserve access to an excellent education, as well as have a proven track record of attaining exemplary academic results. Must possess strong organizational, operational and interpersonal skills, and be a flexible and creative problem-solver.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree or higher preferred) from an accredited college / university with an emphasis in supervision, educational leadership and school curriculum;
- Must possess or meet the qualifications for Georgia Educational certification through Georgia Professional Standards Commission in the field of Educational Leadership or equivalent out-of-state leadership certification;
- Prior experience in school leadership activities preferred;
- Other combinations of applicable education, training and experience may be considered which provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform effectively in this position.
