POSITION SUMMARY
Support the Building Principal in administering the various functions of the school.

Assume responsibility for supervision and administration of the school in the absence of the Principal.
Enforce discipline and attendance rules.
Promote and protect the welfare and safety of students and staff.
Supervise extracurricular activities as assigned.
Evaluate certified and classified staff as assigned by the Principal.
Counsel and provide guidance to students regarding personal, academic, vocational, or behavioral issues.
Plan and lead professional development activities for teachers, administrators, and support staff.
Prepare, maintain, or oversee the preparation and maintenance of attendance, activity, planning, or personnel reports and records.
Participate in special education-related activities such as attending meetings and providing support to special educators throughout the district.
Organize and direct committees of specialists, volunteers, and staff to provide technical and advisory assistance for programs.
Attend and represent the school and the district at community, state, and professional meetings as assigned.
Collaboratively develop and implement a shared mission and vision.
Collect and use data to identify goals, assess organizational effectiveness, and promote organizational learning.

Master's Degree Required, Field of Study : Education
Experience :
Previous administrative experience preferred.

Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computers and programs associated with the position.
Certifications &
Licenses :
Current Arkansas teaching license as a building administrator. Must meet all state and federal requirements for the position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most activities are indoors in a typical school environment. However, some outdoor activity can be expected on most days. When this occurs, extremes of heat and cold and other weather patterns can be experienced depending on the season and the activities involved. The noise level in schools can range from low to very high, depending on the activities involved.
