Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing – Surgical Services to oversee the operational and clinical functions of Perioperative Services. This leadership role carries 24-hour accountability for multiple departments, including the Operating Room, PACU, Outpatient Surgery, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, Cath Lab, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Donor Network. The Director will be responsible for strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of Perioperative Services operations.
• Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
• Provide leadership in staff development, training, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to meet organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:
Education:

• Required: Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or charge nurse.
• Preferred: Experience in surgical services leadership.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active California RN license (Required).
• BLS certification (AHA certified) (Required).
• CNOR or related perioperative certification (Preferred).
