Senior Applications Developer

Project Description :
Seeking a Senior Applications Developer to provide Python code development with designing Glue jobs using Python Shell and PySpark.Must have a full understanding of Python applications design, code structure, packaging, and deployments and experience with ETL processing.Performance Period: 12/02/2024 thru 12/31/2025.Performance Location: Washington, DC - Remote/On-Site a minimum of 1 day per week on-site support, unless otherwise directed.

Qualification Requirements :
- Python code development - Experience with designing Glue jobs using both Python Shell and PySpark- Full understanding of Python applications design, code structure, packaging, and deployments- Ability to write unit tests and use various mocking techniques- Functional knowledge of Docker- Experience with ETL data processing. Airflow experience is highly desired.- Experience with writing AWS Lambda functions- Experience with SNS/SQL implementation techniques, event triggering (e.g., EventBridge) and Step Functions- Experience with infrastructure building using AWS CDK- Understanding of logging in AWS - Experience with database development and data migration (Postgres and Redshift)- Experience in building/accessing Data Lakes using Glue/Athena/Redshift and building data access APIs- Implementation of database/data lake granular access security, and access integration with Okta/Cognito** U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
