BryLin Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, dedicated individual.

Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm

Monday-Friday

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Generalist assures the on-boarding of applicants is processed with accuracy, promptness and with customer service and compliance in mind. The HR Generalist also assists in making sure that staff are in compliance with applicable regulations, including monitoring, tracking and data entry. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for clerical functions for all areas related to the human resources department as well as other required systems. In this role, a primary function of the position is answering phones, emails and in-person inquiries.

Responsible for assembling new hire employment files, data entry into HRIS System, E-Verify, ordering supplies and filing. The Human Resources Generalist will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions, duties and benefits administration.

This position will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records, enter new hire data, and update employee data.
  • Answer employee queries about HR-related issues and help resolve them, if possible.
  • Effectively plans and assists with execution of company events.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assists with implementation, administration, and education of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices; including but not limited to performance management, corrective actions, internal investigations, talent review, and organizational changes.
  • Records employee information such as personal data, new hire information, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, termination data, and other pertinent HRIS system information.
  • Maintains HR information in both manual and electronic formats (resumes, forms, etc.).
  • Conducts New Employee Orientations .
  • Stamps, sorts, and distributes mail
  • Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities, clearances, physical forms, etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all Human Resources transactions that occur.
  • Assists in the administration of employee benefits packages, employee offer packets and other clerical functions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years office experience and/or previous Human Resources experience required.
  • Two (2) years of healthcare experience required.
  • Attention to detail is required including excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skills.
  • Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff and interact with other members of the team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with the highest level of integrity and ethics.
  • Experience working ADP and Paycom.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrated team-oriented behavior.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations a plus.

Working Environment / Physical and Personal Requirements:

  • Able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must have ability to operate a computer.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to complete all physical demands of the job, which may include, but not be limited to; the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, prolonged periods of sitting and intermittent physical activity such as occasional requirement to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, lift and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities including frequent writing and typing.
  • May be requested to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
