Summary:
The Finish Tech installs interior components, applies coatings, and performs detailing to manufacture vessels to specifications.

Pay Range:
Level I pay range: $18-21/hour; Level II pay range: $21-28/hour; Level III pay range: $28-32/hour.

Duties:
- Assist in the construction and installation of interior joinery/cabinetry.
- Install interior components such as seats/cushions, insulation, paneling, flooring, and windows.
- Apply vessel coatings including interior/bottom paint, non-skid, clear coat, vinyl.
- Install vessel accessories or other components (e.g. labels, signage, etc.).
- Perform final detailing/cleaning at vessel completion.
- Use tape measures, levels and other inspection to verify outputs conform with design specifications, company quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Safely operate hand/power tools related to the job’s needs, including: drills, saws, sanders, sprayers, etc.
- Demonstrate safe work practices. Comply with safety standards required by the company and regulatory bodies.
- Obtain and maintain proper workplace training or certifications.
- Complete work within specified deadlines set by the Finish Supervisor.
- Participate in regular/required meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience (e.g. carpentry and/or painting) in a manufacturing/shop/construction environment.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and instructions.
- Basic math skills relevant to construction trades.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certificates and/or professional certifications (e.g. OSHA training) will be considered an asset.
- Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
Environment:
Work is performed in a metal manufacturing environment or outdoors in all types of weather. Noise level can vary from moderate to high. The use of PPE (e.g. respirator, hand/hearing/eye protection) is required. Continuous physical effort is required (standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, grasping/reaching, lifting/moving items up to 50 pounds). The employee is regularly required to work from a ladder and/or scaffolding, and occasionally required to carry a load in these positions.
