Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bulldozer Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in a fast-paced construction environment, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical equipment, as well as experience in operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers and backhoes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on construction sites and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Operate bulldozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment in a construction setting
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Work closely with construction teams to complete projects on time and within budget
- Load and unload materials using dump trucks and tankers
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment
- Demonstrate experience with horizontal drilling and commercial driving
- Participate in pre-shift safety inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order
- Collaborate with other operators and construction personnel to achieve project goals
- Operate equipment in a variety of weather conditions
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bulldozer Operator with Topcon experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Ability to operate bulldozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment
- Experience with dump trucks and tankers
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment
- Commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Experience with horizontal drilling and build projects
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid commercial driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination
- Willingness to work in a construction environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
