Job Summary
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and writing programs that enable machines to fabricate parts and components to precise specifications using CNC machinery.
Duties
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations
- Operate and set up CNC machines including milling machines
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Perform quality checks on machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret CAD drawings using software like CATIA
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 7 years of experience operating and programming CNC equipment
- Blueprint reading, basic math, and understanding of measuring devices
- Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input NC machine and system data
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, with the ability to apply mathematical functions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
