As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information for decision-making purposes.
Duties
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts
- Perform account reconciliations and oversee general ledger accounting
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Utilize accounting software to streamline financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experienced in real estate accounting (multi-family, or commercial properties preferred)
- Proven experience in a Controller or similar role
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively across departments
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,180.00 - $135,931.00 per year
