Responsibilities:
Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for helical pile projects, including:
Reviewing project plans, geotechnical reports, and other contract documents.
Performing quantity takeoffs for helical piles, accessories, and other materials.
Analyzing soil conditions and determining appropriate pile specifications.
Researching and analyzing current market pricing for materials and labor.
Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
Develop project schedules and resource allocation plans as needed for estimating purposes.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies related to helical pile installation.
Prepare and present cost reports and project updates to management.
Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates, plans, and other project documents.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in helical pile installation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist with the bidding process, including preparing bid documents and proposals.
Participate in project post-bid reviews and analysis.
Travel to project sites as needed for site assessments and pre-bid meetings.
Qualifications:
Experience in helical pile estimating is a positive but on the job training will be provided.
Proficiency in quantity takeoff software and estimating software.
Civil construction knowledge.
Experience with reading and interpreting geotechnical reports.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience with specific helical pile brands and systems.
Familiarity with local soil conditions and interpretation of geotechnical surveys.
