Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in financial analysis and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Accounting Manager and CFO by providing actionable financial insights, analysis, and forecasting. This exciting new role will allow the selected candidate to play a crucial part in developing and improving our accounting practices as well as leading the company's FP&A initiatives.
5 days on-site for first 30-days- then Hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in office in Canton, MA.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations
and monthly financial reporting packages.
● Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, identifying key variances, trends, and performance
drivers such as gross profit, sales by customer, budget deviations, and inventory fluctuations, to
support informed decision-making.
● Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
● Identify opportunities to enhance financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes for improved
accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
● Assist in acquisition and integrations of new add-on companies, including ERP system
implementation.
● Provide general support to the accounting team, assist with annual audit and undertake other
tasks/projects as needed.
