SUMMARY
The Manager, FP&A assists business partners in making informed decisions around key financial matters. This role will be responsible for preparing, refining, and tracking departmental financial reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding organization, time management and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to multi-task. The candidate must also demonstrate strong independent reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the capability to think and act proactively. The Manager, Financial Reporting will work with various departments on a regular basis.
This position reports directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist in developing budgets, managing forecasts, and actualizing expenses for various departments and uploading them in the financial and accounting systems
- Monitor performance against budgets and business plans and modify as appropriate
- Prepare forecasts based on sales and/or expenses as well as established trends
- Provide reporting and present budget pacing and variances to senior management and department heads
- Coordinate across multiple departments to promote efficiency, communication and cost savings
- Develop ad hoc financial models, reporting, dashboards, and analysis as needed; build and maintain reports in Adaptive Office Connect
- Assist with financial projections, month-end and year-end closing process, and audits
- Assist with reporting to the WNBA and audits performed by the WNBA

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA and/or MBA a plus
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a financial analysis/accounting role
- Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to nested formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions; SQL knowledge a plus
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Adaptive – Office Connect experience highly preferred
- Possess outstanding analytical skills
- Flexibility to work the hours needed to meet firm deadlines

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Infrequent Traveler (<5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
SALARY RANGE
$120,000 - $150,000 base salary
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Manager, FP&A will be based in the corporate headquarters in Brooklyn, NY. Our team may be occasionally expected to attend events taking place on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
