What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at BSGM?
We are looking for a Staff Tax Accountant with 3-5 years experience to join our team! As a tax accountant you will provide tax services including tax return preparation, planning and consulting. We serve individuals, businesses, corporations, trust, estates, partnerships and non-profits. We deal with federal taxes, state taxes, payroll taxes, excise taxes and sales tax. We service clients involved in manufacturing, retail, oil and gas, agriculture, and medical industries.
*Compensation - Negotiable Based on Experience
Duties:
Preparation of individual and business tax returns of varying complexities
Preparation of payroll tax returns
Client accounting services and assistance
Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional standards
Know and understand the reason for the firm's policies and procedures
Participate in training courses to further develop technical skills
Provide excellent client service by quickly producing quality work and providing attentive service
Become proficient at tax research, which includes obtaining a knowledge of the firm's reference sources
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required. CPA exam eligible preferred
Experience with current computer tax programs and reporting tools
Detail and deadline-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
