Head of Sell Through Mgmt - Cooking

Your Responsibilities

The Head of Sell Through Management role will be responsible for the P&L of the business unit including managing pricing, promotion and placement and will influence the product in collaboration with the heads of brand and product management. They will develop Regional brand portfolio strategy incl. value class strategy, assortment definition and pricing. They will be tracking the business unit T/O and profit in regards to the definition of regional product assortments and target price positioning. They will be responsible for ongoing success of running business. They will ensure local implementation of regional and global marketing and brand strategies and will provide inputs to the product development processes and ensures coherence with market requirements for product and corresponding digital consumer experience. They will collaborate with sales, demand planning, factories and supply chain to ensure business is running smoothly.

  • Lead BU sell-through strategy, sufficiency planning, and implementation
  • Define efficient assortment and SKUs distribution outage; Manage variants & ensure fulfillment of variant reduction targets
  • Develop consumer promotion strategy and quarterly plan guidance
  • Develop trade and customer specific maximization plans for BU (commercial) innovation
  • Identify and address on-going BU improvement opportunities related to location, space, fixtures, POSM, pricing, and counseling staff
  • Define, monitor and steer assortments/ portfolio at regional level across US and Canada (incl. framework for channel management regarding assortment and pricing)
  • Create promotional strategies across different channels and deploy promotional budget
  • Create marketing strategies across different media channels and deploy category specific marketing budgets
  • Analyze, compile and define market requirements concerning trends, consumers, competitors, distribution, based on regional consumer journey framework, supported by regional Experts
  • Develop and set strategic price positioning, define min./target revenues for sales channels based on regional targets
  • Support go-to-market approach for new products / launches
  • Steer profitability of product portfolio across countries
  • Prepare and present the product line to the dealers and in trade shows
  • Be the key sales interface for running business
  • Support sales areas/ subsidiaries to ensure successful implementation of business unit strategy
  • Build a team of sell through managers and lead the team to deliver the aforementioned job functions

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Business Management) – Required
  • Master's Degree (Marketing, Business Management) – Required
  • 10 Years of Experience (P&L steering, product management, product marketing, sales and promotional budget management, people management) – Required
  • Experience in creating and leading a winning team
  • Optimistic, creative and motivating personality, with excellent problem solving skills
  • Market and consumer knowledge, knowing customers and stakeholders
  • Understanding of value chain with focus on marketing and sales
  • Marketing and/or promotional budget steering
  • Sensing of market trends and gaps and resulting product opportunities
  • Expertise in Go-to-Market and product launches
  • Expertise in assortment management (regional and local levels)
  • Knowledge of pricing systems design, execution and controlling
  • Execution of holistic marketing concepts with regional focus
  • Awareness of critical future capabilities based on strategic ambition and existing gaps, ability to close those gaps and set further trends
  • Strong collaboration/ communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders, sought-after networker & partner
  • Experience in using agile methods/ new ways of collaboration
  • Analytical, planning and negotiation skills
  • Ability to provide purpose, commitment and transparency as well as setting clear expectations
  • Travel required based on business needs; domestic and international
  • Experience in home appliances, FMCG or consumer electronics is a plus
  • Travel Percentage – 30%

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

Benefits offered include the following:

  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability benefits, employee assistance program (EAP), Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Account (HSA) participation starting on the first day of the calendar month following date of hire.
  • Wellness Plan that allows participating employees to earn lower medical care premiums.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan starting on the first day of the calendar month following 30 days of service. The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
  • Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
  • The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
  • 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
  • 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
  • Adoption Reimbursement Program, Perks at Work, and BSH Employee Purchase Program.
  • BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
