Process Technician I, 2 nd Shift

Your Responsibilities
This position will focus on the following tasks in the role:
- The molding process trainee is going to be trained for all aspects of the injection molding process. Including, but not limited to, set-up and change over, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow.
- Places the safety of team members in high esteem and educates them on safety tips and procedures to adhere to during the manufacturing process. Initiates safety talks/discussions with their team members.
- Works with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements, make adjustments if required.
- Provide molded components in a timely manner in order to ensure production schedules are met.
- Is self-driven to get things done; can develop and manage an improvement plan.
- Maintains quality assurance standards per ISO.
- Awareness of productivity goals and understands/executes what is necessary to achieve the targeted results.
- Escalation of problems impacting productivity that may be outside of their direct control.
- Maintains 5S standards in the assigned area per the BSH Production System guidelines.
- Learns technical aspects of assigned area, and transfers technical “know-how” to the team members.
- Works with outside vendors to help resolve tooling and machine issues that result in the manufacturing of high quality products.
- Documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
- High-School Diploma – Required
- 0-2 Years of Experience (Manufacturing environment experience) – Required
- Proficient computer skills;
- Candidate has to have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fosters an atmosphere of trust and integrity.
- Good technical knowledge, for e.g. car mechanic or tooling.
- Good mathematical, physically & chemical understanding.
- Interest in manufacturing and automation equipment.
- Good computer skills. Strong engagement to gain knowledge of machine controls & processing methods. Must be able to comprehend technical context & operate machine controls. Strong learning mind set is desired.
- Understanding of plant and environmental safety.
- Will learn to understand injection molding equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic components.
- Will be taught: troubleshooting injection molding equipment.
- Injection molding machine; hand tools and power tools; light computer use; the ability to set molds and start production.
