RDC Lead

New Bern, NC / Full-time

Your Responsibilities

The Regional Distribution Center Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that contracted third party logistics companies throughout the United States are meeting BSH's expectations and standards.

  • First point of contact within BSH US for RDC’s management in relation to contractual regulations
  • Development, roll-out and update of BSH standards for RDC’s, especially in terms of building specification, warehouse and IT infrastructure, IT system(-s), warehouse layout, working model
  • Ongoing monitoring of implementation of assigned standards, requirements and tasks by RDC’s
  • Ensure proper know-how transfer to RDC’s related to the BSH processes being a part of RDC’s operation
  • Leads coordination with BSH warehouses to correctly implement and optimize customer delivery processes and customer returns; identify process gaps and propose solutions.
  • Provide regular RDC audits according to defined scope and schedule; implementation of corrective actions coming from the audits
  • Assist Logistics Buyer in the tender process for the selection of warehouse service providers for BSH in RNA, ensuring that supplier selections process is in accordance with internal BSH regulations
  • Cooperation with all logistics structures in order to optimize the RDC’s operation and performance
  • Regular information exchange with RDC’s management in order to optimize the RDC’s processes, escalating any issues that arise
  • Cost and invoice control for RDC’s services
  • Partners with BSH's Transportation to ensure expected service levels are being met by transportation companies as needed
  • Escalates irregularities or changes in the cooperation with the RDCs in order to ensure expected service level
  • Participates in projects, working groups and committees as necessary
  • Ensures RDCs meet all BSH safety regulations
  • Assist Manager in ensuring process indicators of tasks performed for the team are met
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar field) – Required
  • 3-5 Years of Experience (Logistics or Warehousing) – Required
  • SAP experience
  • Good knowledge of warehousing fundamentals
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of international and domestic transportation regulations
  • Travel Percentage – 50%

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

Benefits offered include the following:

The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
  • Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
  • The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
  • 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
  • 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
  • Adoption Reimbursement Program, Perks at Work, and BSH Employee Purchase Program.
  • BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
