Responsibilities
- Oversee the powder coating process, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.
- Train and supervise junior technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production and inventory, using software tools as necessary.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and tools.
Technical Skills
1. Powder Coating Expertise: Proficiency in operating and maintaining powder coating equipment, including electrostatic spray guns, booths, ovens, and pretreatment systems. You’d need to know how to apply powder evenly, adjust settings for different materials, and ensure proper curing times and temperatures.
2. Surface Preparation: Skill in prepping parts—sanding, cleaning, masking, and blasting (e.g., shot blasting or sandblasting)—to ensure coatings adhere properly and meet quality standards.
3. Quality Control: Ability to perform inspections like coating thickness tests, cross-hatch adhesion checks, and visual assessments to catch defects and maintain consistent finish quality.

Standard working hours:
Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 3:15pm (40hrs)
Standard overtime hours:
Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm / Friday, 6:30am to 3:15 (48hrs)
(Saturday when necessary)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
