SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense’s (DoD) current and future operational needs.
As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. These efforts ensure the United States Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners maintain a strategic advantage in space operations. This position will support multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as other initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical support across all stages of the acquisition life cycle.
- Support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
- Advise the government on cost, schedule, and performance matters.
- Draft and revise Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS) and acquisition documentation for government program managers.
- Assist with presenting acquisition and technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop documents such as capability requirements, acquisition strategies, technical evaluations, system specifications, training materials, and reports using the latest government guidance.
- Provide technical and programmatic status reports on individual programs or portfolios as requested.
- Identify areas for acquisition process improvement and recommend actionable changes to reduce risk.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a government risk management program, including risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Support financial management by tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
- Perform earned value management and schedule analysis for defense contracts.
- Provide Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) support, including congressional reporting, fiscal year planning, and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development.
- Support Integrated Baseline Reviews and Business Financial Reviews to analyze contractor cost and schedule performance.
- Monitor program schedules, acquisition implementation, and risk assessments.
- Maintain acquisition reports by aligning program execution data with program baselines.
- Assist in executing source selections per FAR 9.505-4, including coordinating meetings, developing source selection documentation, and reviewing proposal evaluations.
- Provide engineering and technical expertise to support Command and Control (C2) efforts and their integration into classified programs.
- Act as a liaison between Space C2, Enterprise Ground Services (EGS), and classified program offices to ensure seamless integration.
- Assist with portfolio management by aligning acquisitions, manpower, and funding effectively.
- Advise program managers on interface and integration issues to prevent conflicts.
- Facilitate team communications, coordinate issue resolution, and integrate efforts with acquisition and sustainment activities across government and mission partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive Experience working highly classified space programs
- Experience in Agile processes and implementation for space range organization and activities
- Expertise in organizational structure, data analytics and visualization
- In-depth knowledge of space force command and control infrastructure and platforms
- Experience working directly with Space Force operators
- Requires 10 or more years’ experience in this type of position or program
- Requires a BA/BS degree
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not supervise the work of others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.

The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
SALARY RANGE: $56,000 - $110,000 Annual Salary
