Work Location: This position will be based at any of our BTC Bank branches.
Hours: 40 hours per week, including Saturday rotation
Job Purpose: Responsible for reviewing a percentage of the institution’s consumer and commercial loans for quality, accuracy and regulation compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Loan Review Officer with assessments of loan condition and quality, independent of the lending function.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures and identifies deviations from the policy.
- Work closely with the Loan Servicing Department to assist with identifying potential classified assets.
- Conduct periodic physical inspections of underlying collateral.
- Assist with reports to be provided the Loan Review Committee
- Periodically review and provide oversight analysis for residential and consumer lending policies, procedures and servicing functions within the bank.
- Assist with post-origination classification of loan assets for accounting and regulatory capital adequacy requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 4-5 years of lending/loan operations experience or equivalent.
- Strong financial analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and communicate in a professional manner.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Travel to other training locations periodically required.
