What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter/carpenter apprentice position at BTD Custom Building?
BTD Custom Building is looking for an experienced Carpenter or a carpenters apprentice. Your job will entail working on new construction sites and high end remodels. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of both rough framing and finish carpentry and takes pride in their work. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. Pay Is based on experience. You will be covered by worker compensation and paid by direct deposit.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Material estimation if need be
- Basic rough framing, interior and exterior finish carpentry, window installation, interior and exterior door installation, siding installation and cabinetry installation
- Install cabinets, shelves and built-ins where necessary
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and staging necessary to complete the project
Requirements
- Proven experience as carpenter/apprentice
- Valid State issued Driver’s License
- Proficient in using power and hand tools
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma
- Have all hand tools necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
