Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by accurately estimating costs and managing project budgets. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, contract negotiations, and cost control measures to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Duties
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize Prebuilt ML software to generate accurate estimates and manage project costs effectively.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather relevant information for accurate pricing.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best prices for materials and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to provide informed estimates.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry is highly desired.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Prebuilt ML and Bluebeam for project management tasks.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations, contract negotiations, and cost control practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions based on findings.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the estimation process.
- A background in construction estimating, management, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
