Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our team in the agricultural industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural equipment, a passion for sales, and the ability to build long-lasting relationships with customers. As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales of agricultural parts by meeting with current and prospective customers, understanding their needs, and providing effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the agriculture industry to drive sales of parts and accessories.
- Actively prospect for new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, networking, and customer visits to expand the customer base.
- Provide expert knowledge and advice on agricultural parts and equipment, helping customers find the right solutions for their needs.
- Conduct on-site visits to farms, equipment dealerships, and agricultural businesses to assess parts needs and make sales recommendations.
- Present and demonstrate products to customers, showcasing features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and pricing to customers, negotiating terms to secure sales.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, troubleshoot issues, and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory levels in CRM software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings to stay competitive in the market.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and performance goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college or technical degree is a plus).
- Proven sales experience in the agriculture, automotive, or industrial equipment parts industry.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and parts, with the ability to quickly learn about new products and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills to secure sales and grow customer base.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and part specifications.
- Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in outside sales, preferably within the agricultural or heavy equipment industries.
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery brands and their corresponding parts.
- Technical background or understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Bilingual is a plus.
