Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are noted for kitchen staff.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Provide assistance to guests with menu selections, including upselling items to enhance their dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and restaurant policies regarding food handling and sanitation.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for handling cash transactions effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in upselling or sales techniques is a plus, enhancing the overall guest experience through recommendations.
- Knowledge of culinary practices and food handling procedures is beneficial for ensuring quality service.
