Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced concrete and asphalt foreman to join our restoration team. Prefer 5 years of experience in concrete and asphalt. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team installing and finishing concrete and asphalt according to project specifications. This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as the leader of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete and asphalt placement by cleaning, leveling, and compacting
- Set forms and ensure they are properly aligned and secured
- Pour concrete and into forms and spread it evenly using various tools
- Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, screeds, and other hand tools
- Apply curing compounds or sealants to protect the finished surface
- Repair damaged concrete surfaces as needed
- Placement of asphalt to be leveled and compacted
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain an organized work area
- Follow strict timelines and coach a team to meet those same deadlines
- Holds team to high quality of work
- Works in a team leading by example
- Active foreman, should be the most capable on the job site
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a concrete and asphalt laborer or similar role
- Knowledge of concrete and asphalt installation techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to lead
- Clear and effective communication between management and laborers
