Description
We are looking for a Production Maintenance Technician for our weekend shift. The work schedule will be 7 am - 7 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
While possessing a superior understanding of maintenance and repair principles, the technician will work independently or with helper to perform a variety of skilled duties in the areas of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.
Production Maintenance Technician Essential Functions
- Uses hand tools, instruments, and basic shop tools to support essential functions.
- Build custom panels for production use. Have basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks
- Program and maintain automated equipment such as programmable controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- Work with other maintenance technicians to diagnose, replace, and repair faulty electrical components of machines and equipment throughout the plant.
- While using documents, drawings, and reference materials, troubleshoots and corrects equipment problems. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, sensors, and communication pathways to promptly return equipment to operational status.
- Comply with established safety, health, environmental policies. Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability, and yield.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians to develop maintenance skills.
- Report to a manager and work under the direction of lead personnel. Will also work under the general direction of functional area manager.
- Documents work performed including preventative and corrective maintenance issues.
Production Maintenance Technician Job Specifications
- Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires 4 years of related experience, and additional specialized training with certification
Production Maintenance Technician Must have the ability to:
- occasionally lift 50 pounds unassisted
- hear and respond quickly to alarms and radio communications
- walk, stand, sit, bend or kneel to access equipment for repair
- normal or corrected vision with no color blindness
- climb ladders and or use personnel lifting devices to work at heights.
- work in non-climate-controlled areas
