Description
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Family Support Advocate to join our Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN). The Family Support Advocate will provide direct case management services and support for children and families and will also provide service coordination and linkage to community resources for both children and family. The Family Support Advocate is skilled in parenting education from infancy to young adulthood, budgeting, home maintenance, childcare, etc. The Family Support Advocate will provide quality enhanced and increased visitation to families of children in kinship and/or foster care to maintain a connection between the child(ren) and their parents and community. The Family Support Advocate is an integral part of the team which includes the family itself, CPS worker/service team and any other team members as desired. The Family Support Advocate will provide additional support to the Family Support Team and all other Agency Departments.

What you’ll do:
- Determines the level of immediate and future risk of abuse or neglect to children.
- Establish and maintain contact with area community resources.
- Provide hands-on support and/or training in home maintenance, budgeting, applying for community resources, and any as needed training identified by family, FSS worker or PFSN CPS.
- Complete on-going case utilization management on assigned cases to ensure cases are progressing on the treatment goals.
- Give continued feedback about what to expect with visitation and normalize parent and child feelings and behavior about visitation and involved in the child welfare system.
- Coordinate and lead visitation planning meetings with the service team, family and support within one week after contact is made with the family.

Qualifications
Who you are:
- You have a high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
- You have at least a year of child welfare, or related, experience.
- You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
