What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooking /Edible Creations Summer Camp Teacher position at Buckley Day Camp?
Buckley Day Camp is a traditional day camp looking for a fun, qualified individuals to join our team. We are looking for Individuals with experience and able to teach Edible Creations to our 3- 7 year old campers for the summer of 2025.
Camp runs from Monday, June 30th through Friday, August 22th. During camp, hours will be 8:30am-4:15pm. Buckley Day Camp is located in Roslyn, NY. We serve campers ranging in age from 3 to 15 who come from Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Manhattan. We are located on a beautiful 25-acre campus with many outdoor attractions and indoor, air-conditioned facilities. Attendance at pre-camp orientation/training sessions (approximately 5 days throughout May and June) is expected.
Cooking: Buckley Day Camp is looking for a fun qualified individual to work with our campers. you should be able to plan and implement age appropriate activities. Must be able to develop a creative program featuring food projects without actually cooking!
Desired Qualifications: College Graduate with teaching degree or comparable* College Graduate with teaching (or similar) degree* LOVE working with children* Experience working in a camp setting (day or residential)* Experience teaching children/campers Cooking in a day or residential camp setting is a plus.
Salary: Competitive. The Cooking Specialist will also be eligible to have his. her children attend Buckley Day Camp at a highly reduced rate!
