We are seeking a Copywriter to join our internal communications team committed to delivering an outstanding employee experience. As a Copywriter, you will play an important role in developing and delivering compelling content across various internal communication channels to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals. What you'll do:
- Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures, and requirements. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
- Write, develop, edit, and disseminate multiple forms of internal communication content to keep Buckner team members and associates engaged, informed and aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and execute successful internal communication plans around HR initiatives, organizational announcements, and projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key insights, gather information, and craft compelling content that reflects Buckner’s culture, news, events, and employee engagement efforts.
- Create and successfully implement internal communications calendar content.
- Collaborate with the External Communications team, ensuring alignment between all internal and external communications, best practices for web content, and digital media strategies.
- Report and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure effectiveness of internal communication campaigns.
- Ensure all internal communications align with Buckner’s brand, voice, values, and culture.
- Process communication requests, vet them for veracity and timeline deliverable commitments.
- Maintain awareness of diversity and accessibility standards in all communication materials.
- Manage multiple deadlines and projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Stay up to date with the latest communication techniques, digital trends, and best practices to enhance content effectiveness and engagement.
- Complete special projects as assigned, particularly internal communications efforts that promote other strategic priorities or core value themes and initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Writing, or a related field.
- At least three years business writing experience within a corporate communications or internal communications function.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives aligned with organizational values.
- Proficiency in managing content calendars and balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Advanced writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, consistency, and tone alignment.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with superior ability to synthesize information and compose clear, concise, compelling, consistent and accurate messages for designated modes of communication.
- Familiarity with diversity, equity, and accessibility standards in communications.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, subject matter experts, and project teams, to gather insights and develop impactful messaging.
- Competency with digital communication tools, including content management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of best practices for internal communications and web content.
- Experience in tracking and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for communication effectiveness.
