The Assistant Director of Custodial Services is responsible for managing the daily operations of the campuses Custodial staff. These duties include but are not limited to providing expertise in cleaning and sanitation procedures, daily inspections of staff work, assigning areas to clean as needed, investigate and follow up on any complaints, monitor staff performance and provide the appropriate equipment to perform needed work in a timely efficient manner.
Primary Job Duties:
- Foster a culture of service excellence and pride in work, serve as a role model and mentor to motivate staff to improve their quality and responsiveness of service.
- Monitor and assess facility cleanliness and sanitary conditions through weekly inspections.
- Enforce standards, practices, and methods for cleaning the college. Problem solves to alleviate, redirect, or reduce detrimental impacts to the custodial department.
- Assist in custodial training needs, train, and develop staff in equipment use.
- Keep up to date maintenance records of equipment and inspection results.
- Ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Address staff issues through conflict resolution and progressive discipline as outlined in the Union contract
Salary Range: $55,660 - $71,153 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree
- 5-6 years’ related experience and experience in managing and directing a comprehensive custodial service.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience supervising in a union environment.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree
