SUMMARY
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for collecting timekeeping information, verifying and auditing employee information against internal records, verifying and auditing semi-monthly timekeeping and payroll information, and communicating effectively and efficiently with both management and staff at each individual location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standardsAudits new hire information in payroll system against HR recordsEnters Status Changes and Termination information into the payroll system and ensures all proper record keeping documents are on file for all employment changesAudit information fed between all payroll systems with automated integrations to ensure all information is being fed appropriatelyCalculate retro pay if owedLocking down timecards at the end of pay periods and importing hours into payroll systemCommunicating with managers and employees on questions or concerns sent to payrollEnters all employee paycheck information including commissions, hours adjustments, benefit deduction adjustments, garnishments, AR payments and any other deductions as directed / approved by the employee in accordance with state and federal lawsMaintains all payroll audit records to ensure compliance with state and federal lawsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with both management and employees, as well as with other payroll team membersOther duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be 18 years or olderEDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Preferred- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 1 to 3 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
