SUMMARY

The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the production line. Identifying and correcting all issues that arise during the production run, in a timely and efficient manner. Motivate and direct associates throughout production run. Be able to manage in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Hiring for 2nd shift Monday-Friday in Burnsville, MN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Work on the line to monitor, coach, and direct all Associates.
  • · Ensure the products are of the highest quality, maintaining specs and correct builds.
  • Identify production issues and resolve or escalate as needed.
  • Track labor in RedZone and input information in COGS when work order is complete.
  • Train Associates to be proficient in multiple positions.
  • Rotate Associates for cross-training throughout the shift.
  • Inform QA of any non-conforming product and complete the Non-Conformance Form.
  • Notify QA if there are any foreign objects in the components during the production run.
  • Assist with pre-shift meeting daily and weekly safety meetings with all Associates.
  • Help complete Incident Reports as needed.
  • Report any equipment issues to maintenance.
  • Communicate any issues to supervisor and next shift, as needed.
  • Assist with pre-shift line set up including equipment and ensure line is production ready at startup time.
  • Adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Adherence to SQF (Safe Quality Food).
  • Adherence to all safety policies.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Maintain behaviors that support our CORE VALUES.
  • Ensure Red zone is fully utilized and data in red zone is correct.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Confirm and maintain targeted staffing and throughput levels and balance accordingly.
  • Verify the correct labels for each product.
  • Regular and reliable attendance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Business or related field to management and/or production.
  • Prefer at least six months of related experience and/or training are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Good knowledge of the components and the product line.
  • Good knowledge of product specifications, pallet configuration and product placements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime, as necessary.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel specifically) is required.

The associate must be able to move around warehouse site in order to inspect and observe for proper operations. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, and crouch. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually low.

REQUIRED TRAINING

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required

on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.

Schedule:· Monday – Friday 2nd shift 2:00 pm-11:00 pm

Ability to commute/relocate: Burnsville, MN : Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
