Duties:
- Prepare the orientation documents required for each new driver and coordinate weekly new driver orientation class schedules.
- Verify completion of all onboarding documents and collect copies of all necessary I9 and DOT documents.
- Input new hire data into HR and Payroll systems.
- Ensure the quality, timeliness, and consistency of the driver orientation experience.
- Continuously strive to improve Driver orientation by asking questions, looking for ways to reduce redundancies in training, and listening to feedback.
- Work with internal departments to review, coordinate, and recommend modifications as needed to enhance presentations and flow.
- Compile feedback from instructors on driver candidates, reviewing problems/concerns with Safety, Operations, and Recruiting departments as needed.
- Coordinate the training of selected topics with the corresponding departments (i.e., Safety, Settlements, and Operations).
- Support BMT’s culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values.
- File required paperwork and keep filing systems organized.
- Keep inventory of snacks and drinks for orientation and order more as needed.
- Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Communicate effectively in person, writing, on the phone, in a clear and highly professional manner.
- Ability to learn and understand new systems to thoroughly train new hires.
- Maintain a professional appearance and outstanding positive attitude.
- Present overview material virtually or in person in a clear, professional and informative manner.
- Ability to adhere to all company, state and federal regulations, policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of DOT, FMSCA regulations preferred.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to maintain focus on primary objectives while handling various side tasks.
- Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- 1-2 years of transportation experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
