Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in managing guest flow and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Utilize Aloha/Toast POS system for managing reservations and processing orders when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance guest relations and provide a seamless dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on helping guests feel valued and welcomed.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively interact with guests and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests is essential.
