Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service. This role requires the ability to operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, and may involve heavy lifting and the use of warehouse equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient delivery processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred).
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and loading/unloading tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with courier services or logistics operations is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
