SUMMARY
SUMMARY
Assists Production Planner functions (scheduling, forecasting) to ensure the customer’s requirements are met, inventory is maintained at optimal levels and the flow of components and finished product is maximized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Schedule daily and weekly sub-recipes and finished goods production based on customer orders and forecasts.
- Review finished goods for customer order shortages and notify customer service, production, and logistics as appropriate.
- Manage the production schedule to daily, weekly, and monthly requirements so that production and purchasing have the appropriate information to produce and purchase.
- Work with purchasing to insure stable component supply versus forecasted finished goods.
- Adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Adherence to SQF (Safe Quality Food).
- Adherence to all safety policies.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Maintain behaviors that support our CORE VALUES.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIE
- Ability to communicate with internal clients by email, phone, and fax.
- Good computer skills; ERP, MRP, X3.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Is highly organized and efficient. Must have good time management skills to work under tight deadlines.
- Must be an enthusiastic self-starter, resourceful, highly dependable, and able to establish and maintain priorities.
- Excellent computer skills, including previous experience using Microsoft Office programs
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Demonstrated listening skills, ability to clearly present ideas verbally and in writing.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly learn new skills, technologies and processes.
