Job Summary: The Production Planner supports all day-to-day repair operations by assisting the Operations team. This role, at the direction of the Operations Manager, will be responsible for: production planning, material procurement, assisting customers over the phone and via e-mail, and inventory management; as well as utilizing those opportunities to cultivate positive business relationships with our customers and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Repair Operations group with production planning and job prioritization.
- Engage and update customers by phone, e-mail, or in person.
- Collect and review pertinent job records and repair documentation to generate customer quotes.
- Receive purchase orders for products or services to verify availability and delivery methods.
- Review and process job documentation and customer reports.
- Assist the accounting department with retrieving customer payment.
- Regularly collaborate with cross functional teams including inside & outside sales, accounting, IT, reliability services, power services, and purchasing as assigned.
- Educate customers on products & services via phone or email when required.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with sales staff and assist them in servicing customers.
- Complete inventory cycle counts, process paperwork, and record amount of materials/items received or shipped.
- Operate forklifts to move product within the facility.
- Maintain good inventory practices when handling products using care to avoid damage and loss.
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail and continually seeks out opportunities to increase their product knowledge of new and existing products.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents (safety rules, operating manuals, MSDS sheets, maintenance instructions, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to the situation.
- Mathematical skills in all standard units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Preferred:
- Experience working in Acumatica
