Sanitation Technician (3rd shift)

SUMMARY

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the overall cleanliness, and sanitation of the production plant after normal work hours of operation in compliance with established sanitary standards, and protocols.

FULL-TIME, 8:30pm until 4:30am, Monday-Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Clean and sanitize production floor & walls, and equipment

· Dissemble equipment apart for cleaning and sanitizing

· Assemble clean equipment back together

· Understand protocol and standard for wearing safety gears & glasses

· Understand instruction on chemical use & mixing

· Fill and complete daily task forms

· Perform all other duties deemed necessary, or required by sanitation manager

· Inform and report any issue or equipment malfunction to sanitation manager

· Perform all duties in compliance with USDA, federal, state & local regulations and company policies & procedures, including safety protocols and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

· Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Some experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

· None required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

· Able to communicate effectively

· Able to work in an efficient manner performing tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during cleaning hours

· Able to work in a team setting

· Able to lift up 30 pounds frequently

The associate must be able to move around warehouse site in order to inspect and observe for proper operations. The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, and crouch. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, Distance vision and Depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually low.

REQUIRED TRAINING

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
