Summary:
To dispatch Buddy’s trucks and drivers, coordinate inbound shipments and outbound to IWI ensuring product is where it is supposed to be when needed. Ensure trucks follow and maintain all DOT requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Dispatch Buddy’s trucks for pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare pickup/delivery paperwork for drivers.
- Taking care of all fuel receipts for mandatory reporting.
- Reporting to IFTA with manager,
- Making sure Buddy’s is compliant with pre trip inspections on all trucks and filing of paperwork.
- Communicate to both Burnsville and Lakeville warehouses when shipments are coming.
- Ensure drivers are legal and follow DOT requirements with the manager.
- Monitor locations of all trailers and ensure they are in working order.
- Track the driver stats every week and send an email with a report.
- Set up pickup and delivery appointments for the extra runs unscheduled.
- Setup inbound trucks for supplier pickups.
- Communicate supplier pickups with carriers.
- Monitor AMC transfers with availability.
- Work with third party local carrier when additional local transport is needed.
- Validate information on inbound buyer POs is all correct (weight, address, dates, temp).
- Create the confirmations to send to the carriers.
- Update the carriers when there are changes.
- Assist carriers with appointments when issues arise.
- Work with Transportation manager with the extra outbound local deliveries.
- Monitor Kroger inventory and distribute it to the correct IWI locations.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) some college preferred. Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Must be process and detail oriented.
- Ability to work on multiple screens and applications.
- Willing and able to solve problems when they arise.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- ERP experience is preferred. Ability to learn and utilize ERP (X3) is required.
