In Short:
The Transportation Clerk for Buechel Stone Corp. is responsible for overseeing administrative aspects of the shipping and receiving desk. This position plays an essential part in supporting communication between internal and external clients, customers, and employees. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment. A pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills are essential to ensure all clients receive the best Buechel Stone experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet company visitors.
- Coordinate and complete invoicing documents for inbound and outbound trucks.
- Print and disseminate load sheets for shipping department.
- Accurately direct inbound trucks on and to company property(s).
- Accurately scale inbound and outbound loads.
- Work with various departments to organize document distribution.
- Fulfill documentation storage, both physical and electronic.
- Coordinate and complete small package shipments and deliveries.
- Other duties & projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma.
- Customer service experience desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office systems a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP desired
- 10-key and computer competency required.

- Strong customer service skills.
- Must be comfortable with interruptions and handling multiple projects and tasks at one time.
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verbal communication is vital between internal and external clients, customers, and employees.
- Capable of communicating using different forms of technology including but not limited to CB radio, 2-way radio, telephone, instant message, email.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner both written and verbally.
- Ability to problem solve and make quick decisions when needed.
- Solid Organizational skills.
Work Conditions:
- Regularly required to sit and stand at a desk every day.
- Working on and looking at a computer screen for several hours every day.
- Office Environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing settings.
- Some lifting of 10-25 lbs. will be required on occasion.
